National Assessors Program (NPA)
The NPA program is a standing panel of independent assessment service providers contracted to provide assessments to support the needs of people with disability in the workplace. The NPA program is funded by the Australian Government Department of Social Services (the Department).
CPG is an approved Certifying Body forthe National Panel of Assessors Program as per National Panel of Assessors Scheme. CPG offers remote auditing services for initial and recertification every three years.
CPG personnel have acquired this knowledge and ability through many years of hands-on experience in implementing management & product systems and over 25 years’ experience in conducting Human Services & Disability Certifications. Certification to the NPA program is in simple steps, it's a light touch assessment of the Provider's management system.
DSS has identified 15 of the 40 total indicators National Standards for Disability Services that NPA providers will need to demonstrate compliance with.
Standard 1 – Rights: Indicators of Practice: 1:1, 1:2, 1:5, 1:6, 1:9
Standard 2 – Participation and Inclusion: Indicators of Practice: 2:1, 2:6
Standard 3 – Individual Outcomes:Indicators of Practice: 3:4, 3:5
Standard 4 – Feedback and Complaints:Indicators of Practice: 4:1, 4:3, 4:6
Standard 5 – Service Access:Indicators of Practice: 5:2Standard 6 – Service Management:Indicators of Practice: 6:1, 6:2
Audit activity will be proportionate to the size of the NPA Provider, including its demonstrated level of management system effectiveness and will involve the following activities:
· Review of Policies & procedures to meet those indicators as applicable
· Review of the Self-assessment· 2-3 interviews with consumers
· 2-3 interviews with Employersor DES providers (as applicable to the program)
· Interview with the NPA assessor
